Academy Mission Statement
The district 4 Academy league
was created to provide a quality soccer experience for players between
the ages of 7 through 9 years old who are making the transition from
recreational soccer to competitive soccer through this developmental
program. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun and instructional
environment that promotes [layer development and fair play.
General Information
The
District 4 Academy League is being offered to boys and girls in the
U8-U9 age groups for the 2009-2010 seasons. The league is open to both
club and independent teams.
Age requirements:
U8 born between 8/2001 through 6/2002
U9 born between 8/2000 through 7/2001
Currently NO U7 players can play in Academy
Team Requirements:
Both U8 & U9 teams will play 6v6
Roster is comprised of a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 10 players.
(5 + a goalkeeper)
Based
on the number of teams, the league will be split into divisions
determined by skill level. Teams wanting to be placed in a higher
division will be asked to provide a team record. All other will others
will be placed by Academy League Committee. Geographical locations will
be taken in account for placement. It is the intent of the league to
have teams placed by skill level for parity and in some cases, girls
teams and boys teams may be in the same bracket.

June 30, 2009 09' Fall Registration Deadline
August 24, 2009 09' Fall season tentative start date
Team Fees:
Academy for a full year $70.00 per player
Academy for half year $45.00 per player
Fees
cover the following costs: UYSA registration, UYSA insurance, Dist 4
field fee, Dist 4 registration/player card fee, Dist 4 player fee,
Academy equipment fee and Registration in the Real Salt Lake Junior
Program with voucher to one game per player.
Teams will pay an additional $10.00 to a center referee at time of game for a total of $20.00 per game.
Games:
On
most weeks, one game will be scheduled. However there may be a couple
of weeks where teams may play two games. Academy games are played on
Mondays, Wednesday and /or Fridays.
Games will consist of 2 twenty minute halves and a five minute half time.
Only one center referee will be provided.
Registration:
Registration for all academy teams will be handled through the Academy
League Registrar.
Teams can pick up registration packet at Ultimate indoor in West Haven
OR at Academy Registrars house in Layton: 1620 n 275 W in Layton.
These packets have different information than the District 4 packets handed out this past spring.
All questions regarding registration of teams should be directed towards

Registrar
will be available on the following Tuesday evenings June 16th and June
23rd in Layton at: 1620 N 275 W to accept packets and answer questions
regarding registration. From 5:30 -8:30.
Registrar will be
available on the following Wednesday evenings June 17th and June 24th
at Ultimate Indoor in West Haven to accept packets and answer questions
regarding registration. From 6:30 -8:30.
